In this day and age kids play too much electronics. But I want to share you this research!
CardiovasculaR disease sign can be seen to children as young as 6 years old according to Physical Activity and Nutrition in Children (PANIC) research.
The researches assessed 160 kids and found higher arterial stiffness in children with lower levels of physical activity and higher body fat. Children who are physically active had flexible arteries and better arterial dilation making the heart not to exert more force to pump blood.
So mom, let your kids to be wet and sweaty, daily if possible. This can prevent risk of cardiovascular disease later in life. Let go running!
